If a person has to pay more than 10% federal and state combined, then government is spending too much money. PERIOD! Tax payers need to stop subsidizing government. - Ed Obama urges 30 percent tax rate for million-dollar earners President Barack Obama used his Tuesday State of the Union speech to call for a 30 percent tax on people who earn more than million dollars in one year. “If you make more than $1 million a year, you should not pay less than 30 percent in taxes,” he announced, in a policy that helps him characterize former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney as inordinately wealthy. (RELATED: Full State of the Union coverage) “Washington should stop subsidizing millionaires … [and] if you’re earning a million dollars a year, you shouldn’t get special tax subsidies or deductions,” Obama said.
I find it odd that the superintendent has the rights to his opinion but a student doesn’t have the right to a different opinion. Isn’t that ‘bullying’ which the superintendent accused the student of doing? Just a thought. - Ed Superintendent bullies Christian student, calls him 'ignorant' School officials at Shawano High School in Wisconsin have censored and punished Brandon Wegner, a 15-year-old, for writing an op-ed article explaining the Biblical view of homosexuality and supporting natural mother-father adoption, according to Liberty Counsel. After Brandon wrote this article he was pulled into hours of meetings with school administrators and staff, without his parents' knowledge. Superintendent Todd Carlson told him that the column "went against the bullying policy," and asked him if he "regretted" writing it. According to Liberty Counsel, when Mr. Wegner stated that he did not regret writing it, and that he stood behind his beliefs, Superintendent Carlson told him that he had "to be one of the most ignorant kids to try to argue with him about this topic," that "we have the power to suspend you if we want to" and that the column had "personally offended me, so I know you offended other people!" Now we learn why the President wants more tax dollars from us. His own aides owed the IRS close to one million dollars in back taxes at the end of 2009. Remember Timothy Geithner? He is the current United States Secretary of the Treasury. He was previously the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He didn’t pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for several years while he worked for the International Monetary Fund.

As the EPA grapples with this criticism as well as a recent embarrassing court decision, President Obama must have felt compelled last week to appear at headquarters to give his EPA a “pep talk.” The President’s EPA morale boost came just months after an Office of the Inspector General report found that the EPA cut corners and short-circuited the required peer review process for its December 2009 endangerment finding, which is the foundation for EPA’s plan to regulate greenhouse gases. EPA was dealt another blow to its scientific integrity when President Obama forced the agency to withdraw its plan to tighten the ozone standards because the economic and scientific analyses were so blatantly unsound.

The players -- Mohamed Ahmed, Fanar Al-Alsady, Hadee Attia and Ali Bajjey, all age 17 -- are accused of gang-beating Lutheran Westland’s quarterback as time expired in Lutheran’s 47-6 drubbing of Star on Oct. 21. According to numerous witness statements gathered by police, Lutheran’s quarterback was set to take a knee to run out the clock. Before the snap, referees told both teams to refrain from contact, police said. After the snap, however, the four arrested Star players burst through the line and allegedly manhandled Lutheran’s quarterback. Police said they ripped off his helmet, threw him to the ground and punched and kicked him repeatedly. The incident came to an end after coaches, players and refs stepped in and broke it up.

H.R. 3594: Second Amendment Protection Act of 2011 To express the sense of the Congress that the United States should not adopt any treaty that poses a threat to national sovereignty or abridges any rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution, such as the right to keep and bear arms, and to withhold funding from the United Nations unless the President certifies that the United Nations has not taken action to restrict, attempt to restrict, or otherwise adversely infringe upon the rights of individuals in the United States to keep and bear arms, or abridge any of the other constitutionally protected rights of citizens of the United States. This is a Republican bill with 234 co-sponsors, none of them are Democrat. Most Democrats support the UN Small Arms Treaty which will nullify our 2nd Amendment. - Ed

It is obvious that the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is biased against Christianity and not other religions. This is so blatant it is disgusting. - Ed Free-Speech Case Appealed to Supreme Court Bradley Johnson, a high school math teacher in the Poway Unified School District near San Diego, had banners hanging in his classroom for 25 years with mottos such as “In God We Trust,” “One Nation Under God” and “God Bless America.” For the last 30 years, the school district has had a policy allowing teachers to use their classrooms for displays of personal belief — a policy other teachers at Johnson’s school have taken advantage of by hanging up Tibetan prayer flags and posters of the Dalai Lama, Malcolm X and Hindu sayings. In 2007, the school told Johnson his banners needed to be removed, while the other displays remained. A federal district court in 2008 upheld Johnson’s First Amendment rights, but a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the decision last year — then turned down a request for an en banc hearing by the full court. That leaves the U.S. Supreme Court as a last resort, said Thomas More Law Center President Richard Thompson.

Unions should have no more rights than the business owner. If the unions can lobby for unionization then the business owner should have the right to lobby against unionization. It’s HIS business not the unions. - Ed Labor board chief to press for new union rules The chairman of the National Labor Relations Board hopes to have another round of regulations in place by the end of the year that would make it easier for unions to establish and win representation elections in workplaces. Undeterred by Republican protests, Mark Pearce said he will urge the board to approve the new rules now that it has a full component of five members after President Barack Obama bypassed the Senate to fill three vacancies. One change Pearce wants is requiring businesses to hand over lists of employee phone numbers and emails to union leaders before an election. They figured that if they were going to have to work to get their welfare check then they’d just go get a job. - Ed Bill would require community service for public assistance It's known as Senate Bill 2224 and currently sits in a senate committee. If it becomes law, Mississippi's welfare system will have a new component. The bill would require anyone who receives public assistance and is able bodied to perform a minimum 20 hours a week of community service for a non-profit in Mississippi or for a church were the individual is not a member. "I think we've got a lot of support from people who want to see better things done with our welfare system," said Senator John Polk. As a freshman lawmaker, Sen. Polk ran on a platform to improve the state's welfare system and create more fairness in a system he says is unbalanced.
US leads Security Council charge against Israel During a Security Council session, US Ambassador Susan Rice urged Israel to halt all settlement construction in the West Bank and work to quell settler violence against Palestinians. She also expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza. British Ambassador to the UN Mark Grant accused Israel of employing violence in the territories and called on the Jewish state to halt all settlement construction, including in east Jerusalem. Germany’s UN ambassador, Peter Wittig, said Israel was attempting to detach east Jerusalem from the West Bank, a move he claimed would make the establishment of a Palestinian state impossible. Despite the deceptive appearance of good intentions and even safeguards, this bill opens doors for leftist activists to exploit and oppress traditional family values. HSLDA reports, If Senate Bill 2180 passes the Mississippi Legislature, a parent would be in jeopardy of receiving a life sentence in prison for spanking a child. Sponsored by Senator Brice Wiggins (District 52-R-Jackson), this legislation would make it a felony to “whip, strike or otherwise abuse any child,” thereby causing “bodily harm” to the child. “Reasonable discipline” would be an exception to this offense. The minimum penalty upon conviction of this crime would be 10 years in prison. The maximum penalty would be life in prison.

BAN islam IN AMERICA! - Ed Convicted North Carolina Jihadist Accused of Plotting to Behead Witnesses A North Carolina man sentenced to prison recently as part of a homegrown terrorist ring has been accused in a federal court document of plotting to kill witnesses who testified against him at trial. An affidavit unsealed in federal court Monday accuses Hysen Sherifi of plotting against the witnesses from his jail cell. Authorities say an FBI informant posing as a hit man met with Sherifi's brother and a female friend and accepted $5,000 and a photo of an intended victim. FBI agents have arrested the brother, Shkumbin Sherifi, and Nevine Aly Elshiekh, a school teacher. Now in federal custody at the New Hanover County Jail, each is charged with a felony count of use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire. Hysen Sherifi, 27, was sentenced to 45 years in prison earlier this month in what prosecutors described as a conspiracy to attack the Marine base at Quantico, Va., and targets abroad. Five others, including construction contractor Daniel Patrick Boyd, have been sentenced to federal prison terms for terrorism charges related to raising money, stockpiling weapons and training in preparation for jihadist attacks. A Prayer for our Nation Father, we ask You to bless and heal our land. We pray for this nation, that we will humbly and wholeheartedly serve you. We pray that as a nation we shall have no other gods before You; that we will not bow down ourselves before any idol or image; we shall not take Your Name in vain; that we will keep the sabbath day holy; that we will honor our father and mother; that we shall not kill , steal, commit adultery, or bear false witness against our neighbor; that we will not covet anything that is our neighbors; and that the fear of the Lord would be in all the inhabitants of this nation. I thank You Father that you are revealing to the people of this nation that you are bringing this nation back to its foundational roots. I thank You that whether they be elected or appointed, if they are hindering that process or opposed to righteousness, that you are exposing them and removing them. I thank You that with each election between now and the time Jesus returns we will see the ungodly and the unrighteous removed from office and be replaced with godly, righteous, Spirit filled men and women of God. We pray that as a nation, we will hide Your Word in our hearts, that we might not sin against thee; that we would walk by faith not by sight; that we would love You with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves; that we would diligently obey Your voice, and cleave to you; for You are our life and the length of our days, and Father, without You, we can do nothing.
